The experimental animated short film “Get Drunk, Call Your Ex” was conceived as an innovative collaboration led by the Flea Troupe. Developed during the pandemic and isolation, the project involved a team of 5 directors, 8 animators, 2 photographers, and 3 sound designers.

Contribution to the Project

Within the project scope, a multifaceted role was assigned to create the concept, illustrate, and animate, aligning with the directors’ vision. The team explored notable creative freedom, conducting studies of styles that allowed each animator to incorporate their essence and creativity into the work.

Challenges and Artistic Variety

Funded by the Aldir Blanc Law for the promotion of Brazilian culture, the specific contribution involved creating five scenes, exploring various animation techniques, from stop motion to character animation. The result is a short film that transcends the conventional, celebrating artistic diversity and creative expression in challenging times.
